H. Eric Chiang Has Joined SIPA Advisory Board

Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs announced that Dr. H. Eric Chiang MIA ’99 has joined the School’s Advisory Board.

Chiang has 20 years of experience in investment management and corporate finance. He started his career in investment banking in New York, and is currently an executive director with the investment management division at Hong Kong-based Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, he was head of public investments at Shining Capital Management, where he led the overall efforts for a multi-asset portfolio. He also previously worked as head of Asia-Pacific for the Invus Group LLC, where he founded Invus’s Hong Kong office and managed the company’s pan-Asia investment portfolio.

In addition to his SIPA degree, Chiang holds a doctorate in business administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He earned a BSE in Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan.

Chiang has been actively involved in education and youth development. He serves on the board of governors for City University of Hong Kong Foundation and on a professional development committee for educators at the Hong Kong SAR [Special Administrative Region] Education Bureau. He is also appointed as an adjunct professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
