Joséphine is a third-year student in in the PhD program in Sustainable Development. She is interested in the feedback mechanisms and spatial interactions that link ecosystems and economic processes. In particular, she wants to study how a better understanding of coupled human-ecological systems can help improve the management of natural resources and urbanization processes.

She graduated in Science and Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique, where she specialized in Economics and Public Policy. She also holds an MPA in International Development from the London School of Economics. Before joining the PhD program, she pursued research in development economics, political economy and international trade at the Columbia Business School.
