Charles Taylor is a PhD student in Sustainable Development. His research focuses on land use dynamics, agriculture, ecosystem function, and natural resource management using remote sensing and spatial analysis. Previously, he worked at McKinsey & Company as a business analyst, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as an agricultural consultant, and The Earth Partners LP as managing director at the land and environmental investment company. He also cofounded the Drylands Natural Resource Centre, a farmer-owned cooperative in Makueni, Kenya, working to restore landscape through agro-forestry and ecological best practices. Charles studied Economics and Political & Social Thought at the University of Virginia where he graduated with high distinction.
