Andrea Vega Yudico is a first year student pursuing a Master of International Affairs with a concentration in Economic and Political Development and a specialization in Technology, Media, and Communications. Prior to SIPA, she worked at the Center for International Media Assistance at the National Endowment for Democracy where she coordinated partnerships and consultations on media development, news sustainability, and digital governance. She also covered the White House and the 2020 presidential election as a producer for NHK Japan Broadcasting, where she followed key developments in national security and foreign policy from Washington D.C. Andrea graduated with a B.A. in International Studies and a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University. She is originally from Mexico, but has lived in Japan and China. In her free time, she likes to rock climb, read historical nonfiction, and find the best bagels in NYC.
